Related to the Mini League

  1. How can I play?
    The steps in detail:
    1. Click on "Game info".
    2. Click on "Sign-up".
    3. Choose the type of membership and click on "continue":
      1. The free of charge version (Basic Player) is the best way to get to know the game, however it is limited in functionality and features.
      2. The Plus Player version only costs 12 EUR per season and offers you many addional features. As a Plus Player you may participate in a Mini League with members playing free of charge (Basic Player) but not in a Pro Player Mini Leagues.
      3. The Pro Player version only costs 14,50 EUR per season and offers you even more features than the Plus Player. It is aimed at experienced users, who would like to get the most out of this Fantasy Football Manager Game.
    4. Here are four choices:
      1. You've already received an invitation with Mini League name and password. This means that you can join this private Mini League. Please enter the Mini League name and password on the next screen and click on "Continue".
      2. You've already received a Mini League name. This means that you can join this public Mini League. Search for the Mini League name in the list and select the box to the left. Then click on "Continue".
      3. You would like to create a new Mini League for anybody: Choose "Create a public Mini League" and enter its name. Then click on "Continue".
      4. You would like to create your own private Mini League for yourself and your friends: Choose "Create private Mini League" and enter a name and password. Then click on "Continue".
    5. Now you only need to create your own account: Please enter a Login name, password and your first name an click on "Continue" - now you can start playing!
  2. How can I convert my current account into a Plus Player account?
Please log in first. You may make your account via this link a Comunio.it Plus Player. (You can also find this link under "Administration" -> "Change user data". Your bids, points etc. will not be changed by becoming Plus Player. You may become Plus Player independent of your other community members. Here the Plus Player features are described.
New users automatically get the Plus Player features free of charge for the first 14 days!
  3. How can an existing community convert into a Pro Player community, so that every member is keeping his team?
The Mini League Manager may convert his Mini League via this link. (The link can also be found under "Administration" -> "Mini League administration". All teams, bids, points etc. remain untouched. All Pro Player features are described here.
  4. May I become a Pro Player in my Mini League by myself or must all members of my Mini League become Pro Player?
Because of their extra features Pro Player are likely to receive more points than non-Pro Player. Due to fairness it's not possible to become Pro Player by yourself in a non-Pro Player Mini League.
  5. How can I invite friends to my Mini League
Anyone that receives the Mini League name and password can join (Private Mini Leagues only). For simplicity we provide a form to invite new members after signing up. All you need to enter is the name and e-mail adress of the person you want to invite. Of course you may modify the invitation text as you wish. With a click on "Continue" all invitations are send by e-mail.
Any Mini League member can also invite new members under "Administration" -> "Invite new members".
Another possiblity is our "Member exchange forum", where you can advertise your Mini League with a short description.
  6. How can I convert a public Mini League into a private Mini League?
The Mini League Manager must set a Mini League password under "Administration"->"Mini League management".
  7. How can I convert a private Mini League into a public Mini League?
The Mini League Manager must delete the Mini League password under "Administration"->"Mini League management".
  8. How many members should/may a Mini League have?
Theoretically more than 25 are possbile. Nevertheless between five and 18 is a good target value, because in every match only around 25 players are rated, i.e. the more members the community has, the less players that receive points a member has. Too few members is also bad, as the competition is low and transfer negotiation is mainly done with the computer which is not as exciting as with other members. During the course of the game you might also exchange players which is not possible with the computer.
  9. Where do I see who else is in the Mini League and the players they have?
Under "Standings" you'll see who's in your Mini League and their respective points. You can inspect their teams by clicking on their names. If a new member joins your Mini League it is also announced in the community news. ("XYZ has joined").
  10. What are the numbers in parentheses next to the logged in players?
The number in parenthesis is the number of minutes since the last action.
  11. Can I play alone?
Yes, you may play on your own: In such a case we suggest to join a public Mini League (without password).
All by yourself in your own Mini League is of course also possible, but you won't get to know many aspects of the game therefore we do not advice this method.
  12. How do I know that none of my friends has already created a Mini League?
Quite simple: If you haven't received a Mini League name and password by someone else, you're the first one and can start a new Mini League for you and your friends.
  13. Can I play in more than one Mini League?
Yes, but not with the same user name. You must sign up individually for every community that you play in. If you're already logged in and would like to do something in another community, you must re-login with the other user name.
  14. Can I sign up more than once for one Mini League?
Yes, even this is possible with multiple user name. But be aware that this would provide you an unfair advantage compared to other members of your community and they will certainly not tolerate this. The community manager may impose a penalty, expel you from the community or the members can simply create a new community without you!
  15. What authorizations / possiblities does the Mini League Manager have?
The Mini League Manager has the following rights and possiblities:
    • Changing the Mini League settings:
      • Mini League name
      • Mini League password for private Mini Leagues
      • Number of days after which bids expire and the computer would accept/decline them (1-9)
      • Number of days after which bids from Mini League members expire (1-9, only for Pro Player Mini Leagues)
      • Number of players the computer offers on the exchange market (0-13 or 0-25 in Pro Player Mini Leagues)
      • Number of days after which a Mini League member may put a newly bought player on the exchange market (0-365)
      • Starting conditions for new members (20 M starting budget + randomly assigned team or 40 M starting budget and no team)
      • Setting for the next season
      • Activation/Deactivation of salaries (applicable only for Pro Player communities)
      • Mini League description
      • Setting of the payment method in Pro Player Mini Leagues
    • Deleting members
    • View the (encrypted) IP of community members and the time of their last action
    • Send warning e-mails to community members
    • Setting/Removal of Mini League management rights
    • Setting/Removal of the champion and red lantern icons (additionally championship stars in Pro Player Mini Leagues)
    • Impose penalties or bonuses
    • Transfer nullification
  16. Can I move with my account into another league?
That's not possible. It can be that the players in the new community are already assigned. You have to register again in the new community.

Related to players

  1. Why is a player's position defence/midfield/striker although he's playing on another position for his club?
To keep objectivity and provide planning reliability, Comunio.it use positions of the club's team. In general positions are only adjusted during the winter and summer break. When this happens we'll change the player's position as well.
  2. When are position reworked/changed?
In general Comunio.it is reworking the positions during the summer break, sometimes during the winter break as well.
  3. What happens to players if they leave the Serie A, e.g. relegate or transfer into another league?
When it's certain that a player will leave the Serie A, e.g. by relegation, his market value is frozen, i.e. the market value doesn't change any more and the player will not be placed on the exchange market by the computer any longer. Exception: If a club's relegation is already certain before the end of the season, its players will only be deactivated after the end of the season. You can always sell a player to the computer for the (frozen) market value. To do so please place the player on the exchangemarket an wait for an offer by the computer on the next day.
  4. What do the icons of the player status display for Pro and Plus Player mean?
    ActiveThe player is fit
WeakThe player is off-color, may become fit till the next match though
    InjuredThe player is injured
Red BannedThe player is red banned
Yellow BannedThe player is yellow banned
Yellow Red BannedThe player is yellow-red banned
AwayThe player is on national team leave
SuspendedThe player is suspended or disregarded for some other reason
RetiredThe player is not playing in the Serie A any more
    DeceasedThe player is deceased
    RehabilitationThe player is in rehabilitation

Related to line-up and points calculation

  1. How are the points calculated?
Every game day you receive points for the lined up players of your team based on the real performance of the player in the Serie A. The basis of valuation is listed in the rules.
  2. Why haven't I received points for the last game day?
Has your balance been negative after the last transfers before the start of the game day? If the balance is negative, no points are awarded according to the rules.
Please don't forget to confirm your lineup with the button "Play with this line-up" before the start of each the match day! Maybe points have been awarded but positve and negative points cancel each other out.
  3. My account balance was positive after the last transfers and before the start of the game day but is now negative. Will I receive points for the game day?
If you account balance is not negative directly after the last transfer event before the start of the game day (approx. at 7 a.m.), you'll receive points. In this case you'll also receive points even though your balance becomes negative during the game day, e.g. saturday night or sunday morning.
  4. My balance is negative after my last transfers and a game day is about to start. Would I get points if the Mini League Manager reverts a transfer?
If your balance has been negative directly after the last transfer event before the start of the game day, you will not receive any points even if your Mini League Manager would nullify a transfer retroactively!
  5. Why do I come up with more points in my calculation, than the computer has awarded me?
Have you had one position left open? For every open position you receive according to the rules 4 points.
Do you think the computer has overlooked a goal? Unfortunately it's not always clear who has scored the goal and different sources state different scorers. In such cases we follow the statistics of gazzetta.it. Also be aware that a penalty goal is awarded 3 points regardless of the player's position.
  6. When will I finally receive points?
The points are calculated after the end of the last match of the match day. Normally this happens Sunday night from 10 p.m. onwards which means that no login is possible until 11 p.m. The point calculation is usually moved to the next working day during holidays.
  7. What are the substitute players for?
As Pro Player you may specify one substitute per tactical position. The substitute comes into play, if one of your starting players does not receive points and is not rated, i.e. not playing at all or only for a short period and therefore not receiving a grade, no goal scored and not sent off the field.

Related to standings

  1. Where can I see my fellow players points?
Under "Standings" you'll find the current ranking of your Mini League.
  2. What do the symbols next to the user under "Standings" mean?
At the end of the season the Mini League Manager may set the champion icon for the winner and the red lantern for the one finishing last. Some Mini Leagues have arranged an internal cup for which Pro Player Mini Leagues may additionally assign a cup icon. This internal cup is not organized by the computer, but arranged by the users themselves. For example at certain game days members compete against each other and whoever receives more points on that game day advances to the next round. This can be continued to the final.
  3. Who is winning, if two or more members have the same number of points at the end of the season?
If there's a tie the team value at the change date from the old to the new season decides. If you would like to use a different criteria internally, the Mini League Manager may award the champion and red lantern icons under "Administration"->"Manage community members" manually.

Related to the exchange market and budget

  1. How are the market values of the players determined?
When a player is bought from the computer, 8-15% of the difference between bid and market value are added to the player's old market value (for every bid that's above the target price). E.g. if player xyz (old value 20 M) is bought from the computer for 25 M and the bids were 25, 24 und 22 M, then xys's value thereafter would be 20 + 0.5 + 0.4 + 0.2 = 21.1 M (increase rate of 10%). Additionally the market value of a player may increase at most per day by 15% or 250.000, whichever is bigger.
If the computer places a player on the exchange market an nobody buys the player, his market value will fall approx. 5%, i.e. the computer would offer the player the next time approx. 5% cheaper. E.g. if player xyz is on the exchange market for 20 M and nobody can buys him, his market value will fall by 1 M and thus be 19 M thereafter.
In detail the algorithm is a bit more complex (e.g. it's impossible that a market value will drop to 0, the bottom is currently at 160.000). These subtleties have almost no impact on the calculation. Also transfers between Mini League members have no impact on the market value!
  2. Could you please place xyz on the exchange market?
The computer places players randomly on the exchange market. This procedure cannot be changed for a single user or the whole Mini League in order to ensure long-term fun.
  3. Why do some players appear more often on the exchange market than others?
The computer places player randomly on the exchange market. Therefore some players may be placed on the exchange market more often than others.
  4. Can I see my fellow player's bids?
No, bids are hidden. I.e. other members of your community don't see your offer and you cannot see theirs. This has the advantage that your chances of acceptance of a bid are independent of when the bid was entered. If you and another member bid the same price it is randomly decided by the computer who receives the player.
  5. Why haven't I gotten a new player although my offers have been accepted and the money was deducted from my account?
Transfers are only processed at transfer times! The transfer times are listed in the Comunio.it calendar. In general transfers take place once per day. Is your offer's status "accepted", you'll get the player at the next transfer event. After the transfer, the status of the offer is "processed"
  6. I've mistyped my bid, e.g. one extra digit. Could you please revert the transfer?
In such cases the Mini League Manager may nullify transfers under "Administration"-> "Undo transfer". The nullification is not retroactive on the points calculation, i.e. if your balance was negative on the match day and you've received no points therefore the nullification won't help you to get points.
  7. I've placed a bid for a player, when do I get him?
For bids for players of the computer, the point in time when offers are accepted depends on when the player was placed on the exchange market and after how many days offers expire in your Mini League. If they expire after one day, the Computer accepts and rejects offers and transfers the player after one day. If they expire after two days the computer acts two days after the player was placed on the exchange market and so on.
You must be the highest bidder above the target price to get the player!
  8. I've placed a player on the exchange market, how's bidding for it when?
Immediately after you have placed a player on the exchange market all other members of your Mini League can bid for this player. You can either accept or decline those offers. The computer will place a bid on the next day, which you can also accept or decline. If in your Mini League bids expire after one day you need to decide quickly. If they expire after two or more days, the offer remains open longer accordingly.
Hint: The Computer always bids about the market value (+/-5%) of the player. If the Computer should bid less than market value, you can - in case it's not urgent - place the player once again on the exchange market and wait for a possibly better offer on the next day!
  9. Why aren't player's of a deleted member placed on the exchange market?
If a League member is deleted, his/her players are locked for 20 days. After this period the players return to the computer. Only thereafter they may come up on the exchange market again. In Pro Player Mini Leagues, for the same reason, the last owner is still shown in the player search during the blocked period.
  10. When do players from promoted teams or new entrants show up on the exchange market?
Players of promoted team and new national entrants are usually entered until the new season starts. These player may appear on the exchange market thereafter. New entrants from foreign countries are usually entered from July 1st onwards.

Related to the newsletter, sending and receiving e-mails

  1. Why should I subscribe to the newsletter, how often is the newsletter published?
Every friday the free-of-charge newsletter informs on Comunio.it and the Serie A:
    • New features
    • Special Comunio.it events and offers
    • An extensive preview of the next match day with fixtures, a list of injured and blocked players
    • Interesting stats
    • A concise list of transfers of your Mini League
Normally no newsletter is sent before weekends with no games.
  2. How can I subscribe to the newsletter?
You can subscribe to the newsletter under "Play" -> "Administration" -> "change user data". Please note that you also must confirm your e-mail address to receive the newsletter.
  3. Why can't any of my league members send me an e-mail? / Why don't I receive the newsletter although I've entered a correct e-mail address?
Before you can receive e-mails or the newsletter, you must confirm your e-mail address: After entering your e-mail address (e.g. during registration) you should receive an e-mail. In this e-mail you'll find a confirmation link. You must visit this link to confirm your address! If you change your e-mail address you'll receive a new confirmation mail.

Related to the season end/season start

  1. How do we continue next season? What's the "change of seasons"
Every Mini League Manager can choose one out of four modes on how to continue the next season under "Administration"->"Manage Min League":

    1. Every member is keeping his team and budget an receives an extra 5 Mio. for new acquisitions.
    2. Every member gets a new team of 15 players assigned and again 20 Mio. starting budget - as in the beginning.
    3. Every member gets 40 Mio. starting budget, therefore no players (i.e. his current team goes to the computer).
    4. Every member must keep five of his players (if he doesn't select them under "Line up", he automatically keeps the five with the most points) and gets 10 additional players assigned as well as 9 starting budget or + 9 Mio. if you have a negative balance. E.g.: You have -2 M at the end of the season, then you'll start with 7 Mio. At the end of the season, if you have 20 M, then you'll start with 9 Mio. As far as possible 1 keeper, 3 defender, 4 midfielder and 2 striker are (randomly) assigned.

At the transition into the next season only Mini Leagues which have been founded before the start of the last game day are accounted for in the next season.
The transition into the next season is announced in the Comunio.it calendar and the Mini League news in due time and takes about five hours. During this time transfers are performed and the transition mode chosen by the Mini League Manager.

Pro Player Communities can additionally use the following season transitions:

    1. Every community member gets a team of 15 players randomly assigned. As a starting budget you get 45 Mio. minus the value of the assigned players.
    2. Every member must keep five tradables (as above, if none are selected then the five with the most points are kept) and gets no extra players but 20 Mio. starting budget or + 20 Mio. if the user has a negative balance.
    3. Every member can keep as many players as they like. You must select the players to keep under "Line up". As starting budget you get one third of the sum of budget and team value on the day of the transition (from the budget a max. of 10 Mio. is included, i.e. with a balance of 15 Mio. 5 M are lost) minus the 1,5-times value above 30 Mio. the kept players or plus the difference in team value to 30 Mio., if players in value less than 30 Mio. are kept.
    4. Every member keeps his team. Half of every member's wealth (budget + team value) is pooled and then redistributed evenly amongst all community members. Example: There are three community members with budgets of 2 M, 12 M, 15 M and team value of 30 M, 24 M and 37 M respectively. The first player has to put 16 M into the pool, the second 18 M and the third 26 M for a total pool size of 60 M. Every member then gets 20 M from the pool. So for the next season the first player has a budget of 6 M, the second 14 M and the third 9 M.
  2. For those new season options where some players are kept in my team, e.g. "Keep five", can I choose them myself?
You may choose the players under "Lineup" yourself, by checking the boxes to the right of your team. Please confirm your selection with "Play with this lineup".
  3. What happens to my budget when going into the new season with mode "Keep five"?
If your budget is positive it gets reset to 9 M, if your budget is negative 9 M are added.
  4. Of which type are the newly assigned players in mode "Keep five"?
As far as possible the computer will try to assign 1 keeper, 3 defender, 4 midfielder and 2 striker of random value.
  5. Will I get more than 10 players assigned if I select less then 5 players in mode "Keep five"?
No. If you select less than 5 players to keep for next season, you automatically keep the selected players plus the players with the most points for a total of 5 players.
  6. Can I select a player to keep for next season that has left the league?
Yes, you may choose a player that has left the league to keep for next season.

Miscellaneous

  1. How can I renew my account (ahead of time)?
40 and 10 days before expiration the computer sends notices including payment conditions. Yet you may renew your account anytime by transfering the membership fee with your user ID and user name in the reason for payment IT to this account.
  2. I forgot to state my user name in the reason for payment when I transferred my membership fee. Is that a problem?
Usually this is no problem since the User ID is sufficient to reconcile your payment to your account. Please send an e-mail to info@comunio.it, if your account gets locked.
  3. To which account do I have to transfer my membership fee to if I am a Pro or Plus Player?
    Account holder Comunio GmbH
    Account 662464600
    Bank number 70020270 (HypoVereinsbank München)

In the case of bank transfer from abroad:
    IBAN DE35700202700662464600
    BIC / SWIFT Code: HYVEDEMMXXX

In the bank transfer details please state your login name and User ID, e.g.

  4. What do I have to include in the reason for payment when I am transferring my membership fee for my Pro/Plus Player account?
    Please note the following:
    • We cannot reconcile your payment to your account and thus not activate it if your User ID and login name are not included on the bank transfer. Please always state your ID and your login!
    • Please write your User ID without points, commas or spaces!
    • Please bear in mind that a bank transfer usually takes about 2-3 working days. Bank transfers from foreign countries even longer, usually about 5 days. Your account will automatically be activated as soon as your money arrived on our account. If you would like to know the status of your activation simply take a look at your membership profile.
    • If you transfer the money for more than one Plus Player or Pro Player, please state the User IDs of all accounts to ease the reconciliation. An exception to this rule is the collective bank transfer for Pro Player Mini Leagues. In this case the User ID and login name of the person making the bank transfer is sufficient!
    • Please use for EU bank transfers the IBAN/BIC Code to keep the bank transfer costs at a minimum.
  5. I am Pro/Plus Player and have already transfered the membership fee. When will all the features be activated?
Please check your bank account statements after 7 working days, if the bank has credited the membership fee and no errors occured i.e. correct statement of your User ID and Login name in the reason for payment. If that's not the case please send an e-mail with the name of the bank account owner, date of debit entry according to the statement, your User ID and Login name.
  6. Why are there different payment options?
To create a new Pro Player community, you must choose one payment option. Please note that the community manager does not have the same possiblities with the option "Everyone pays by himself" as with the other payment options, especially deletion of other members is not allowed.
With the option "Community manager pays for the whole community up to ten members" the community may not become larger than ten members. If you want more players, please change the payment option and transfer the Pro Player fee for each additional member.
  7. How can I terminate my Pro/Plus Player membership?
Please send a notice of termination in due time with your user name and your Comunio.it ID (if you are logged in, you will find the id under the logout button beside the username) to info@comunio.it. In the last weeks of your Plus Player membership you may also cancel the membership under "Administraton".
  8. How are the player salaries calculated?
For being even closer to reality Pro Player communities can optionally play with player salaries. If you play with salaries, then everyday for every player 500 Euro plus 0,1% of his market value is deducted from your budget. On game days you receive per point 30.000 instead of 10.000.

  11. How much time do I need for the game?
How much you like! In theory you only need to line up your players once prior to each game day and most likely you'll sometimes receive points. Yet who's playing more often, will probably perform better. Per default it is thought that you can stay informed if you check the news and exchange market every 2-3 days. This can be changed on the community level though. In general who plays more often and is better informed about football most likely performs better.
  12. Which HTML tags are allowed in user and Mini League descriptions?
The following tags are currently allowed in the descriptions:
